MY POEMS

TOO YOUNG TO DIE

In his deathbed he saw it
Very terrified and so sick
He couldn’t hold his tears
Nor hiding his fears
In tearful he said

      “I’m too young to die
I don’t want to die tonight
I don’t want to say goodbye
Because I am too young to die”

He was pale and looked awful
Very desperate and fearful
He was in such a pain
His hope in vain
With fearful he said

“I’m too young to die
I don’t want to die tonight
I don’t want to say goodbye
Because I am too young to die”

He said “I have not seen enough”
It is very tough
Don’t take me my Lord
Let me live oh God”

He was only twelve
Very innocent and brave
And when it came
Ombeni was never the same
And now i remember him saying

“I’m too young to die
I don’t want to die tonight
I don’t want to say goodbye
Because I am too young to die”
